Hi, I’m Coach Robinson!

A passionate, experienced and extensively certified endurance running coach that works locally, nationally, and globally with athletes from the middle school to the Masters divisions competing in track and field, cross country or road racing.

My Story

From a young age, I loved sports and played or attempted to play almost every sport that came my way. I ended up being good enough to compete in soccer, volleyball and track & field in college.

You could say, I was athletically gifted. And then I ended up with a son that had soccer skills and could run like Forest Gump at age 2. So I became a soccer coach when he turned 4 and a running coach when he turned 9. I’ve been coaching distance runners ever since and was the head endurance coach of the Central Florida Gliders Track & Field and Cross Country Club from 2007-2016.

I’ve coached numerous athletes that meddled at:

  • USATF and AAU Youth National Championships
  • High School State Championship
  • Middle School State Championships

One of my proudest accomplishments was helping an inexperienced but talented middle school girl go from being one of the top distance runners in her school to one of the top distance runners in the Nation in just 14 months (using an age-appropriate workload). Ashley went from running a 5:57 1600m and 2:43 800m in May 2014, to running a 4:38 1500m (~4:58 1600m) and 2:14 800m as a 7th Grader in July 2015.

I am a member of the USATF Coaches Registry having successfully passed an extensive USATF background screen and completed the U.S. Center for SafeSport Training course. I am also a coach with CoachUp, Inc., having passed an additional background check and sex offender screening.

Together, we put in the minimum amount of work (miles and time) required to achieve your goals or be the best that you can be. Afterall, we all have other priorities – school, academics, work, family, health/well-being, and life.
